My favourite salad dressing recipes

This is a post I published a while ago that I have decided to cycle to encourage people to be healthier during Christmas. I have added a few more recipes too!

(apologies for forgetting to do a post last week!)

I love salads! Here are some of my favourite salad dressing recipes to spice up any salad! All of these recipes have been invented by myself and my mum.

(sorry, I haven't posted the amounts on here, we just go by the right consistency and flavour)

Peanut dressing
  • Peanut butter (use the stuff without palm oil, salt, sugar or sweeteners)

  • Sweet freedom caramel syrup (maple syrup or honey would work well too)

  • Sesame seeds (can be omitted if you are allergic)

  • Chopped mixed nuts (again, you can leave this out if you are allergic)

  • Oil (I like to use oil skimmed off the top of nut butter jars)

  • A small pinch of salt

Hoisin dressing
  • Almond butter (peanut works too)

  • Molasses (go easy - it has a strong flavour!)

  • Chinese five spice (be sure to pick a good quality one!)

  • Oil (skimmed off nut butter works well)

  • A small pinch of salt

Oriental Balsamic dressing
  • 1 part good quality balsamic vinegar

  • 1 part sesame oil

  • salt, to taste

Curry dressing
  • Peanut butter (there is a certain kind that is good, I think it's 100% peanuts and roasted without the skins on)

  • Coconut yogurt

  • Honey or maple syrup

  • Medium curry powder

  • oil

  • Salt to taste

Rose harissa dressing
  • Rose harissa

  • coconut yogurt

  • apple cider vinegar (don't add too much or it will be very vinegar-y)

  • Salt (optional)

Raspberry pulp dressing

Mash raspberries through a sieve. Add salt and a little coconut yogurt to the remaining pulp.

Cheese dressing
  • 'Naturli' spread

  • nutritional yeast

  • cold pressed rapseed oil

Tahini dressing
  • sesame seeds

  • rapseed or sesame oil

  • tahini paste

  • good quality honey

  • salt

Spread the word!

I write a small blog, but am hoping to use it to change the world. If you have social media, please can you help by sharing this on there?
